Toscanini is kicking off 2021 with the official presentation of their commemorative hangers celebrating the company’s centennial (1920-2020). Five artists have designed and created their own personal vision of an everyday object like a wooden clothes hanger, turning it into a work of art.
The sculptors involved in the project are: Tommaso Verdesca, Silvano Rotti, Daniele Verdesca, Fabio Nicola/Homo Faber and Christian Costa. Each of them had a different take on the history of the company and the values that represent the essence of Toscanini: a century of family tradition and a company that continues to innovate today thanks to the guidance of Giovanni and Federica Toscanini, the fourth generation, at the helm.
The company has been working with some of these artists for years already, reinforcing the connection between Toscanini’s hundred years in business and their passion for the world of art.
Each work created by the artists tells the story of 100 years of Toscanini, interpreting the symbiosis and perfect balance between the work of human hands and that of machinery: a synergy between evolved artisan craftsmanship and innovation, quality, and design. These values, reinforced by the fourth generation of the family business, are put into practice every day.
