Sustainability: this is the word that has always guided Scandola Mobili in all its choices.
The story of Scandola Mobili begins in 1976. A small workshop, thanks to the far-sighted vision of its founder Carlo Scandola, soon became a structured and nationally recognized company. For more than 40 years and despite the growth of the company, Scandola Mobili has always maintained a deep bond with its hometown, deciding to keep the production plant in Bosco Chiesanuova, 1100 meters above sea level.
All Scandola Mobili‘s furniture is made of fir wood, a natural, renewable and recyclable material. All wood used also comes from areas subject to controlled reforestation. The company uses “old” firs that, once cut, are replaced by young trees that consume large quantities of carbon dioxide as they grow, thereby returning oxygen to the environment. This also supports the renewal of the forest.
Scandola Mobili also shows its commitment to sustainability with the recovery of processing waste, which is ground and reused both in summer and winter months in order to heat the production plant.
Sustainability is also central to the choice of paints, leading to the selection of totally non-toxic water-based products certified as safe for children’s toys.
